We had a great time at the Association of Educational Service Agencies (AESA) Annual Conference December 4-7, 2019, here in our native Arizona. We met representatives from educational service agencies from all over the country and learned about the excellent work being done to improve schools across the nation. While talking to so many administrators, we were able to better clarify and share how E-Therapy can help meet the social/emotional and mental health counseling needs affecting our schools.
One of the highlights of the conference was the keynote by Thomas Murray, author of Personal & Authentic: Designing Learning Experiences That Impact a Lifetime.”Tom was so inspiring!,” said E-Therapy founder, Diana Parafiniuk, “truly one of the best keynotes that I have ever heard.””He said that your legacy will be built in the moments you don’t know what to do, so be invested in the kids. Know their hidden stories. Love them. Love what you do or get out!,” recalled Parafiniuk.”He reminded us that one moment can change the life of a student. He advised us to take 30 seconds to connect with our students. So much can happen in just 30 seconds. It’s so important to them that we show that we care – let our students know that we know their story.”
