E-Therapy Accent Modification Training Program

    Classes are taught by ASHA certified Master's level Speech Language Pathologists. E-Therapy offers individualized or small group accent modification training over the internet using video VoIP. This allows the student and Speech Language Pathologist to see each other and communicate in real time wherever the student may be. The program usually runs for 13 sessions at 1 hour each, but can be tailored to meet individual needs. Some examples of course objectives include:


  • Pronunciation (speech sounds) for example: R and L sounds

  • Intonation

  • Syllable Stress

  • Sentence Stress

  • Pitch Level

  • Grammar

  • Vocabulary

  • Rate of Speech

  • Suprasegmentals

  • Eye Contact

  • Physical Space

  • Body Language

  • Auditory Discrimination how to "hear" American sounds
